The charming country of France is a bucket list destination for many. One of the main concerns or must know before visiting any place, is knowing how to get around in that place

Here’s a brief know -how to move around and get about when in France:

Public Transport in France is well organized and popularly used by the masses of the region.

  • Train – For getting around the country, state owned, SNCF Rail system is a perfect way to move around. The railways have an extensive network that extends through out the country.
  • For movement within Paris, Metro is the cheapest and easiest way to move around. There are several options with frequent stops and easy accessibility.
  • Bus – From one place to another within the country, buses are a cheaper option than trains, but also slightly slower. Their accessibility is more widespread, with access to even remote villages.
  • For Paris, there is a wide network of buses that have a route along most locations.
  • Cars can be used to get around within the country, for enjoying a nice, scenic drives. But, for within cities, using a car isn’t a viable and practical option as it entails getting stuck in traffic and scouring for parking spots.
